Gateway Shootout National High School Wrestling Tournament is a 32-wrestler bracket, Boys and Girls double elimination wrestling tournament featuring the best High School folkstyle wrestlers in the United States!

Our invitation-only national high school wrestling tournament is a gathering of future NCAA and Olympic wrestlers competing for the right to claim the best at their respective wrestling weight class.

Gateway Shootout National High School Wrestling Tournament offers six wrestling tournament sessions featuring 896 High School Boys and Girls wrestlers competing in 1,708 premier wrestling matches.

Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament is an invitation-only folkstyle wrestling tournament featuring the best High School Boys and Girls wrestlers in the United States. Our goal is to provide the best midseason wrestling competition available to our invited wrestlers as preparation for the High School state and national folkstyle wrestling tournament competition.

Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament is hosted in conjunction with our Gateway Shootout National H.S. Boxing Tournament, which features the best Junior (15-16 years old) and Youth (17-18 years old) division boxers ranked by USA Boxing in each sex and weight class.

Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament format is a 32-wrestler double-elimination bracket tournament with a full wrestleback constellation bracket. Any wrestler who loses two wrestling matches is eliminated from Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament.

How are High School Boys and Girls wrestlers selected and seeded for Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament?

Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament first selects 24 Boys and 24 Girls who are High School Seniors in 14 weight classes as our invited Senior tournament wrestlers.

Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament also selects 8 Boys and 8 Girls from each weight class who are Sophomores and Juniors to round out each 32-wrestler bracket.

The top 8 Gateway Shootout National H.S. Wrestling Tournament Seniors are seeded against the eight invited underclassman wrestlers, and the remaining 16 Seniors are seeded against each other.

What is Gateway Shootout High School Gladiator VIP Dinner?

Gateway Shootout High School Gladiator VIP Dinner is our tournament kickoff dinner honoring the top high school boxers and wrestlers in the United States.

Each Boy and Girl boxer and wrestler invited to our Gateway Shootout tournament is the very best high school athlete in combat sports. After enjoying a hearty “smokehouse” meal post weigh-ins, Gateway Shootout has curated a very special speaker presentation from the best in amateur and professional athletics to inspire USA’s next generation of champions.

Seating for Gateway Shootout High School Gladiator VIP Dinner is minimal, and priority for dinner ticket purchases is given on a “first-come, first-served” basis to family members of our Gateway Shootout high school tournament athletes who are traveling long distances to St. Louis, Missouri.

All parents and family members of Gateway Shootout High School combat sports tournament participants who are unable to purchase a meal ticket for Gateway Shootout High School Gladiator VIP Dinner will be granted unreserved seating access to the presentation portion of Gateway Shootout High School Gladiator VIP Dinner with the purchase of any Gateway Shootout multi-day tournament pass.
