Gateway Shootout High School Marching Band Championship is a “Battle of the Bands” for the bragging rights of being the best Bi-state High School Marching Band!
Gateway Shootout High School Marching Band Championship qualifying competition features 16 Missouri High School marching bands competing against 16 Illinois High School marching bands between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Winners of Gateway Shootout High School Marching Band Championship are announced. They will perform during the Gateway Shootout National High School Basketball Tournament Boys and Girls championship game intermission between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

National Tournament
The Annie Malone High School Basketball Shootout National Tournament is a 32-team, double-elimination boys’ and girls’ high school basketball tournament. It features 8 nationally ranked teams, 8 top-ranked teams from each of the 8 states surrounding Missouri, and 16 of Missouri’s best high school teams, selected based on performance, rankings, and recommendations from coaches and athletic directors.
National Play’in Round
Annie Malone High School Basketball Shootout National Play-in Round is a 16-game, single-elimination stage where 32 Missouri and Illinois high school basketball teams compete. The winners will earn a seeding in the National Tournament. This intense round offers rising programs a chance to prove themselves, gain valuable experience, and secure a place among the best high school teams in the region and beyond.
Bi-State Tournament
Annie Malone High School Basketball Shootout Bi-State Tournament is a 16-team, double-elimination boys’ and girls’ high school basketball tournament. It features Missouri and Illinois teams that did not advance from the Play-in Round. These teams compete for Bi-State honors, valuable experience, and recognition in a tournament that highlights resilience, regional pride, and the spirit of second chances.
